Extra-Curricular Learning

Home/About us/Extra-Curricular Learning

At Oakway Academy, in addition to the normal school day, we provide an extensive range of extra-curricular activities.

These activities provide opportunities for all children to try new things, pursue a hobby or interest and have different experiences.

Our academy has extensive grounds which provide many opportunities for children to take part in new and engaging experiences at the end of the school day.

We work in partnership with different providers including NMPAT, (Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust), Hatton Academies Trust, Castle Theatre, Pacesetters Sports and Sport England.

We also utilise the interests and expertise we have within our staff, to provide exciting opportunities for our children.

These include;

  • After school & lunchtime sports clubs;
  • Holiday sports clubs;
  • Drama and performance clubs;
  • Cooking club;
  • Forest School learning;
  • Small group music tuition;
  • Library clubs;
  • Arts and Crafts clubs;
  • Science & computing clubs.
