During e-safety week, 6A wrote a balanced argument to discuss the controversial topic of whether children should be banned from using the internet! We debated this first and most felt that they should be allowed to go online.
We also carried out a survey and calculated our average hours spent using a screen per week – this worked out to be 21 hours as a class average!
We learnt about our digital footprint and what this means, and why we need to be careful when we create it. Finally, we learnt how to use binary and cracked a code to learn the name of the man who invented binary code. His name was Gottfried Leibniz. We used Purple Mash to practise our coding skills.
